Like A Leaf

Like A Leaf

feeling somewhat like a leaf floating along
on a gentle river's flow as it runs along
through a gentle forest where the sun
shines upon the meadows open but
soon there are rapids ahead as the
river drops down through the
canyon's chute plunging
down down down
until the river
becomes calm once again
floating along through
the open desert
dry and pale
with heat
harsh
but the leaf is still floating along
enjoying the ride with all it's
different speeds and rhythms
as I am still living feeling fine
